Vitrine, Oak, copper alloy (probably bronze), velvet and glass. Possibly made
by Hindley & Wilkinson, London, designed for J. & E. Atkinson & Co., New Bond
Street, London, 1911. Hindley had premises at nearby 38A Old Bond Street. The
designs for the showcases are RIBA [331]2, dated 6 December 1911, specifying
'8 2¾ diameter gun metal balls' for the feet. Two of these vitrines are
visible in an archive photograph of the interior of the sales room of Atkinson &
